先日、逆子の改善例を書きましたが、また別の妊婦さんの逆子も改善しましたので経過をお知らせします。
初診 34週6日
33週の検診で横位（頭が横の状態）が確認される。
34週の検診でも横位のままだったため、灸治療を希望。
第2診 35週0日
自宅でのせんねん灸を勧める。
第3診 35週3日
前日の検診で、横位から骨盤位（足が下の状態）への変化が確認される。
戻る可能性は低く、逆子体操はかえって危険だから中止するよう主治医から指示。
帝王切開の予約をする。
第4診 35週5日
第5診 36週0日
第6診 36週3日
前日の検診で、頭位（頭が下の状態）が確認される。
第7診 37週3日
前日の検診で、頭位を保っていることが確認される。
帝王切開の予約をキャンセル。
以降週1回のペースで安産のためのお灸をしていく予定。
この方は治療開始が少し遅めだったのですが、横位が骨盤位に変わった時点で、
じゅうぶん改善の見込みがあると感じました。お灸によく反応して動いてくれたようです。
この妊婦さんは助産師さんと話をしたりする中で、赤ちゃんにそれなりの理由があって頭を上にしているかもしれないこと、
帝王切開をしても赤ちゃんの命の重みに変わりはないこと、赤ちゃんが無事産まれることが何より大事だと
いうことを改めて強く実感し、帝王切開の可能性を少しずつですが受容していきました。
私は、逆子が改善したことはもちろんよかったと思いましたが、妊婦さんがこのように感じられたということが
何より嬉しく、素晴らしいことだと思いました。
逆子を、「その時点での赤ちゃんの自然な姿勢」と受け止め、赤ちゃん本位でお産というものを考えたとき、
母体の緊張が緩み、赤ちゃんが動きやすくなったのかもしれません。
逆子の治療を通して、この妊婦さんは逆子が治ることよりもはるかに価値のあるものを手に入れたとも
いえるのではないでしょうか。
今後も出産まで鍼灸師として寄り添い、「治療のその先」にある大事なものを、この方と分かち合えたらと思います。
