3月10日の日曜日、第28回大山登山マラソンに参加してきました。
地元開催のこの大会に初めて参加しました。
伊勢原駅北口から大山阿夫利神社下社までの片道9キロ。
7キロ過ぎからは1610段の石段が続く、標高差650メートルのコース。
当たり前ですがずっと上り坂、ゴールに近づくほど勾配がきつくなり最後は石段という、逃げ場のないコースです。
初めてということで、目標は完走。
40代男子は女子とともに10:30スタート。
とにかく焦らずゆっくりゆっくりを心がけ、6キロまではキロ6分を少し切るペース。なかなかいい調子。
次の1キロ、バス停終点付近まではさすがに上りがきつく、キロ8分くらいかかってしまいました。
給水所で立ち止まって水分補給。ここまでで47分。ここからいよいよコマ参道～石段の始まり。
はじめはヨレヨレながらもなんとかジョグで登っていましたが、女坂の途中で歩き出す。
一度歩くともう走れない。でもいいんです、周りに走っている人は一人もいませんでしたから。
大山寺付近でスタッフの方が、「頑張って！あと２００です！」。
何が200なんだ？ 200段？ 残り200メートル？
あとで調べたら、海抜にしてあと200メートル登るということだったみたいです。走っているときに分かってしまったら戦意喪失していたことでしょう。
手を腿につき、下を向いて黙々と登ります。マラソンというより修行のよう。
そしてついにゴール！
公式タイムは1時間12分8秒。自分としては満足のいくタイム。何より完走できてよかった！
まずはそのまま下社でお参り。その後みかんと七草粥とおしるこをいただいて、ケーブル＋バスで
伊勢原駅へ。
伊勢原小に戻り、神奈川県鍼灸マッサージ協同組合の方のボランティアマッサージを受ける。
このボランティアは、知り合いの先生が先頭に立って行っていて、私も以前誘われたのですが、
施術を受ける側になってしまいました。
大山登山マラソン、疲れましたが、ゴールした時の達成感がなんとも気持ちよいレースでした。
来年もぜひ参加したいですね。
次回は4月21日の東日本国際親善駅伝。フラットなコースが待ち遠しいです。
